Thank you for checking out my author’s website. I write science fiction stories, mainly in space opera/space adventure subgenre, with some first contact, space exploration, AI/futuristic technologies, and mystery thrown in. My stories are character-driven and sit somewhere on the spectrum between hard and soft sci-fi. You will find quite a lot of social sand political stuff there, some neuroscience, but definitely no magic (fantasy).
I fell in love with books and story-telling when I was a child: from fairytales to adventures in far-flung lands, I sought respite from the world around me. As a teenager, brimming with the typical teen angst and rebellion against the reality, I turned to sci-fi, and I’ve stayed faithful to the overall genre ever since, dipping my toe in various sub-genres, before settling firmly on space opera/space adventure and cyberpunk.
On a good day, I dream about a holiday trip to an orbital-based utopia gently circling a stable star in the Goldilocks zone. On a bad day, I wish I could upload myself into a computer so I can take revenge on capricious printers, delayed trains and incompetent bureaucrats.
In reality, I live somewhere on Earth (currently in northern Europe), together with my little family, which includes three cats; share my time between a day job (which, for now, will remain secret, but I can reveal that it includes some neuro/brain science), writing, keeping the house clean, and, of course, reading. My favourite sci-fi authors of all time include: Iain M. Banks (the orbital was the clue!), William Gibson, P.K Dick and Isaac Asimov; but I keep my mind (and my e-reader) open to new authors and series to enjoy.
